Dr. Tilley is a native of North Carolina. He grew up in Raleigh and Charlotte and graduated from UNC - Chapel Hill. He attended medical school at Wake Forest University and did his residency and cardiology training at Vanderbilt University in Hospital in Nashville Tennessee. Following completion of his cardiology training, he spent one-year on the faculty at Vanderbilt University and has been in cardiology practicie in Greensboro since 1985.
He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, and the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions. He is board-certified in both internal medicine and cardiology and has additional board certification in the subspecialties of interventional cardiology and nuclear cardiology. He is also a member of the Christian Medical Association.
Dr. Tilley and his wife Gracia have 2 children. He and his family attend Westover church where he is an active elder.
He enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, reading, skiing, and water sports.
